Kudos to…
Betty Davis on the wonderful feature in the Austin American-Statesman.
Reporter, Ricardo Gandara, did a wonderful job in capturing Betty’s love of
writing. Our local celebrity’s fame will spread across the state with another
feature in March, this time on television. Betty has already taped a segment
for the Texas Country Reporter and we will let you know as soon as a
specific date is announced.
Eileen Clark on winning third place in the pre-K seasonal writing contest
sponsored by the Institute of Children’s Literature. Her winning submission
is a rhyming picture book called Wiggle Your Toes at the Beach. “Wiggle,
Jiggle” won a cash prize and Eileen’s name will be listed in the March
edition of Children’s Writer newsletter.
Gene Brenek on graduating with a MFA in Writing for Children and Young
Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Gene completed his degree in
January 2009. Kudos also go to Gene on the launching a new line of Eternal
tie-in T-shirts (to go with the Cynthia Leitich Smith’s new release, Eternal)
and other products at Café Press. http://www.cafepress.com/sanguinis
