NAESP Announces Writing Contest

A note from Brian Lewis:

I thought you and your members would love this opportunity that the National Association of Elementary School Principals is offering. It is going to be posted to the national membership but thought your regional membership wouldn’t want to miss it. Teacher.net said “It is a great way to launch a writing career.”

NAESP is looking to launch an aspiring writer, and even published author’s careers.  Charlesbridge Publishing, a leading independent publisher from Boston, and the National Association of Elementary School Principals have partnered for this contest. Two winners—one for a children’s picture book and one for a children’s chapter book—will be selected, published by Charlesbridge and endorsed by the NAESP and their principals—who will announce and promote it to their 30,000 members, as well as teachers and students. Last year’s winners, Young Healer (chapter) and Excuse Me, I’m Trying to Read (picture) will be released at the spring NAESP annual meeting

Teacherwriter.net said this contest ‘an endorsement by them, NAESP, will go far for your writing reputation.’ The contest deadline is March 1st, 2012.
