NPR, quoting librarian Loriene Roy, posted a few recommended books by our very own Don Tate, Cynthia Leitich Smith, and Jennifer  Ziegler, praising a recently released children’s book that tells the story of how Duke Ellington brought swing to the holiday classic, ‘The Nutcracker.’ Also, Texan vampires go up against werewolves and were-armadillos in a popular young adult novel. These are just some of the selections that top librarian Loriene Roy’s list of holiday books. She speaks to host Michel Martin in the interview.

A huge congratulations to these super stars! Way to represent our creative community in a big-time, bang-up way! We’re very proud of you!
