2012 Regional Conference – Here We Come

The 2012 Austin SCBWI Something for Everybody Regional Conference just can’t get here soon enough! If you haven’t registered, there is still room for you during the Friday, Feb. 17th, and Saturday, Feb. 18th, events which will take place at St. Edwards University in Ragsdale Hall. This conference has all the makings of being absolutely unforgettable!

We’ve gathered together the industry’s finest professionals – agents, editors, an art director, a publicist, a legal expert, authors, and illustrators – to offer something for everyone at the 2012 Austin SCBWI Chapter Regional Conference. We’d love to have you join us. Won’t you?

Our website is loaded with exciting conference details designed to answer any question that you might have. For instance, illustrators, did you know that the famed Girllustrators will be organizing the Portfolio Display? (You’ll be in great hands with these talented ladies, we guarantee it.) Have you read the long list of incredible auction items the committee has already collected? How about the fact that the auction committee is requesting that illustrators donate original artwork or prints for the cause? And, most importantly, how are the events scheduled and what does the menu look like?

One important thing to note is that, while the base-rate full day program is phenomenal, registration for our many small group intensives will close Friday, Feb. 10th.

Are you a newbie to the craft? A multi-published old pro? Write fiction or non? Do you write and/or illustrate with tiny tots, middle-graders or teens in mind? Do you favor the gleeful or the gothic tale? Are you ready to proudly present your amazing portfolio for the world to see? Does wading through the legalities of publishing world issues boggle your mind? Want to learn the basics of shameless self-promotion? Are you ready to take your work to a shiny new level of stellar excellence? The 2012 Austin SCBWI Regional – Something for Everybody – is just the place to learn about all of these things and more, more, MORE!

Hope to see you there.
