Writer In Residence Opportunity

A note from Cynthia Bermundez; Writer in Residence Director, Miami-Dade, Florida:
The Miami-Dade Public Library System is proud to announce its 2012 Young Adult Writer-in-Residence program funded through a grant from the James L. Knight Foundation. We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Young Adult author who will encourage local teens, 12-18, in the creative writing process. The three month residency will run from September – November 2012 in Miami, Florida.
Eligibility Requirements: *Must have published at least two young adult fiction books.
* Experience in teaching, writing, mentoring or as a manuscript evaluator or editor.
* Subject to an official background check.
* Must be a U.S citizen or U.S. resident.
Honorarium: $10,500 for three month term (additional funds for housing and transportation provided).
