The focus of this one-day workshop is to hone the skills required to spit-polish your fine manuscripts and illustrations to radiant perfection. We have gathered a fabulous team of highly successful illustrators and authors who, through presentations and/or valuable one-on-one critiques or portfolio reviews, will generously share their tips for publishing success! Humor Writing Workshop with Mary Jo Pehl Scheduled for Sat. July 10th
In this workshop comedian, actress, and writer Mary Jo Pehl will help writers and illustrators to discover that illusive place where hum-drum meets hilarity. She will guide participants to look closely at casual, everyday events to discover the silly that lies beneath the surface. Humor is everywhere. We simply need the tools to mine the giddy from the daily grind. Mary Jo will whet our wittiness by sharpening our slapstick senses.
The workshop will be held at the REI Round Rock, on Saturday, July 10th from 10:00 until 4:00. The cost is $40.00 for SCBWI members and $50.00 for non-members.
