Outreach Committee - Provides community awareness regarding the Austin SCBWI, does press releases, presents flyers to schools and newspapers regarding Austin SCBWI events, and coordinates subcommittees to present other Austin SCBWI community programs to the community. |

| Fall Conference Committee – Plans the annual fall conference, including determining the site, reviewing and scheduling speakers, supervising the manuscript critiques and portfolio reviews, organizing volunteers, preparing conference packet materials, publicizing the event and all other activities required to produce this annual event. |

| Hospitality Committee - Answers emails from new members and members with general questions, welcomes new SCBWI members via email as directed by the Steering Committee, and helps members keep up to date with their local membership as well as direct them on how to get posted in the Member Directory of the local website. |

| Illustrator’s Visionary Committee - Brings illustrators more into focus within the Austin SCBWI, presents Steering Committee with ideas on how to better involve our illustrators, coordinates special programs and events for illustrators and assists the regional advisor with illustrator-related matters such as scheduling speakers, coordinator the silent auction and handling portfolio reviews at the Fall Conference. |

| Published Member Visionary Committee - Seeks opportunities for our published members and gathers information to share with that subgroup of the Austin SCBWI membership, presents the Steering Committee with ideas on how to better involve our published members, assists with developing program ideas to meet the needs of published members, coordinates chapter booths at book and librarian conferences and festivals, and mentors those whose first books are being published. |
