When I’m not teaching Special Education or being a mommy or a wife, I’m writing! I have several picture books and a middle grade novel completed, including a couple of YA books in the works.

My writing is fueled by personal experiences from growing up in a large family with little money, being a quirky shy child . . . .usually off in my own imaginative world, my drama-filled adolescent and college years, to my seven years of teaching elementary. My experiences include 2nd and 3rd grade, Science and Math Enrichment for K-5th grade, to my current role in Special Education for Reading and Math with upper elementary students.

My inspirational toolbox is overflowing with experiences working with the various personality types from “gifted” to “struggling” learners.

I have been in school since I was three years old, going straight into a Kindergarten classroom for student teaching after college, and the rest is teaching history!

I love to learn and am not afraid to learn from living! Mistakes are okay, as long as you learn from them . . . .which is what I teach my students!

My goal is to offer fun and inspiration to children (and adults) across the globe through my stories!
