Sometimes, I wonder if I was born with a book in my hand. I love children’s books. I love libraries. And I love creating stories. I look forward to the day when I publish my first book. While I work toward that goal, I continue to publish in children’s magazines. My work has appeared in Pockets, Kid Zone, Nature Friend and the ezine Imagination-Cafe.

I’ve had many jobs over the years. I’ve been an insurance agent, programmer analyst, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) recruit and business analyst. I guess I’m following in the steps of an aspiring Hollywood actress. All jokes aside, it’s taken me longer to find myself but in the process it’s taught me what I’m meant to do. What I’m passionate about and that is to write stories for children. To touch their heart. To entertain their spirit. To open their minds.

I have several completed picture books (fiction and non-fiction), an early reader series and a chapter book.

I’m thrilled to be the current Assistant Regional Advisor and I feel blessed to have a loving husband to grow old with and three beautiful children who keep me young.

My parents always told me…”We think you can. We think you can. We know you can.” I guess you could say I’m a lot like the little engine that could. “I can.”
