About Me |
I’m a “retired” librarian (retired is used loosely since I’m still very active in freelance work), writer, and consultant. I worked on Quilt of States by Adrienne Yorinks and Hummingbirds: Facts and Folklore from the Americas will be published in February 2011 (Charlesbridge).
My books for librarians include Bringing Mysteries Alive for Children and Young Adults (Linworth), The Public Library Policy Writer (Neal-Schuman) and CREW: A Weeding Method for Modern Libraries (http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/pubs/crew/). I’m also writing a book on El dia de los ninos/El dia de los libros for the American Library Association, to be published in April 2011. I also write a column for Library Media Connections (http://www.linworth.com/lmc/) on audiobooks and am the book review editor for Parentwise Austin (http://www.parentwiseaustin.com). In addition, I am a frequent contributor to Book Links, a publication of the American Library Association, writing articles about authors and illustrators or about using books with young people. |
