Bennett, Marcia Allen - Writer and Illustrator

Marcia grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Her husband's employment took them to Mississippi, then to Texas. After raising four children, Marcia began a career as a teacher/librarian in Corpus Christi. Eleven years ago, Marcia and her husband, Bill, moved to Wimberley, in the Texas Hill Country, where they have enjoyed exploring and learning the history of the surrounding area.
In addition to a BS degree from Corpus Christi State University and teacher certification, she has 15 hours toward a master's degree in library science from Sam Houston State University.
Besides writing, Marcia's interests are wood carving, building and playing folk instruments (hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, Irish harp), building miniatures (selected as Artisan in the International Guild of Miniature Artisans), and quilting.
Marcia is the author of Mystery at Jacob's Well, Mystery at Saddlecreek, Somebody Left the Door Open, The Backpack Cat, and a cookbook, Back Porch Secrets.
