In addition to being an associate creative director at GSD&M Advertising, Gene's a writer and illustrator.
Lately he's been working on a retelling of Hansel and Gretel that's pretty irreverant. Other projects include an illustration used on billboards for a local Catholic high school. Several offbeat picture books are also in the works. He also can be found working on the Austin SCBWI Illustration Comittee.
Gene's decided that this is the year he, "takes the bull by the horns." And although that makes him sound like a cowboy, he's not even close.
