In 1997, Lynn’s story Goodnight Sleepy Jungle Animals was a Grand Prize Winner selected from over 1,000 entries in Half Price Books’ national contest and appeared in Say Goodnight to Illiteracy. Two years later, Lynn’s story, Daddy is a Pirate was published in Say Goodnight to Illiteracy, 5th Edition. Cascarones – A Smash for Easter appeared in the April 2002 issue of Spider magazine and was reprinted in the SIRS online database. Her unique bead craft idea was featured in the December/January 2000 issue of Family Fun article, Gifts Kids Can Make.

Year Abroad
In 2003-2004, Lynn and her family traveled around the world. They visited 14 countries, experienced different cultures, religions, governments and indigenous peoples. These experiences provide the basis for her current writing.

Background
She is married to Hayden. She has two children, Huyler (13 years) and Ginny (7 years) who provide great source material. Lynn has been a Junior Great Books leader and a Junior Achievements facilitator. She co-founded the Bookmunchers boys’ book club.
