Kelly Holmes is a technical writer by day and an aspiring author by night. She began writing picture books in 2003, but none of her work has been published.

Some of her favorite picture books of late include Duck for President, All Pigs Are Beautiful, Falling for Rapunzel, King & King, Walter the Farting Dog, If You Give a Pig a Pancake, Rocko and Spanky Go to a Party, and Dog Blue.

She spends her free time reading, writing (of course), and fostering homeless dogs for a local group called Blue Dog Rescue. She lives with her husband Erik, two dogs Molly Brown and Mae, two cats Shadow and Parker, and usually a foster dog to top it all off.
