After working with and teaching children from birth through fifth grade, I decided to become a writer. I completed two courses with the Institute of Children's Literature. Since 1999, I have been sending out my writing. I am member of the local and national chapters of SCBWI. I work with an On-line critique group twice a month. In July 2002, I attended the Writers Workshop at Chautauqua through the Highlights Foundation. During September 2002, I sold two crafts to Highlights Magazine. When I am not writing, I spend my time traveling, reading, cooking, and doing crosstitch. Since 2003, I have meet with a critique group at Lakeline Mall. In 2003, I sold my manuscript of Freda to MightyBook, Inc. I completed my first year of graduate school in Library and Information Studies.
