Jane Ann Peddicord grew up in Iowa where she and her sister Karen loved to look up into the dark night sky and spot the pictures in the stars. Years later, stargazing with her children rekindled that early fascination and inspired the verses of her first book, Night Wonders. In between, Jane attended college and law school and practiced public interest law in Texas and New York. She now lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband, John, and children, Gwendolyn and Kevin who also inspired her forthcoming book, Special Baby, illustrated by Meilo So.
