BUDDY: THE STORY OF BUDDY HOLLY (Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers/A Paula Wiseman Book, 2005) is Anne Bustard’s newest publication. This lively picture book biography of a rock ‘n’ roll legend was inspired by Holly’s music and life.

Anne’s first children’s book, T IS FOR TEXAS (Voyageur Press), is an alphabet book about the Lone Star state.

Born and raised in Hawaii, with a few non-hula lesson years in California sandwiched in between, Anne Bustard moved to Texas for college—and stayed.

A former elementary school teacher, and then co-owner of Toad Hall Children’s Bookstore, Anne now teaches wannabe teachers at the University of Texas at Austin and writes.

On her blog Anneographies (http://www.annebustard.blogspot.com), Anne
shares her fave picture book biographies, organized by the subjects'
birthday.
