So, which is more important – plot, or character? What drives the stories you write and the stories you (and everyone else) like to read? The answer is that both plot and character bear equal weight in the best stories, and few of us can manage that balance in the first draft. Most writers prefer to write by starting either with character or with plot. In this lecture, Janet will discuss techniques for tackling your drafts, whether you are a character-driven crafter or a plot-driven crafter, so that you can complete a fully integrated and compelling story that will resonate with your audience.
